Ekadashi Tithi is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. In Hindu Dharma, Ekadashi holds a special spiritual importance.

Every month, one Ekadashi falls in Shukla Paksha and one in Krishna Paksha.
On 3rd October comes the Ekadashi of Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha, known as Parivartini Ekadashi. According to religious belief, on this day Lord Vishnu, during his Yog-Nidra, turns to his other side while resting on Shesha Naga in the Ksheer Sagar. Because of this, the day is called Parivartini Ekadashi. It is also known as Padma Ekadashi and Jal Jhulani Ekadashi.
As mentioned in the Padma Purana, at the time of turning, Lord Vishnu is in a gracious mood, and whatever is asked with devotion is surely granted. The Shastras consider this Ekadashi especially fruitful.

Parivartini Ekadashi 2025 Parana on 4th September
Parana Time - 01:36 PM to 04:07 pm
According to Drik Panchang, "Parana should not be done during Hari Vasara. One should wait for Hari Vasara to get over before breaking the fast. Hari Vasara is first one fourth duration of Dwadashi Tithi. The most preferred time to break the fast is Pratahkal. One should avoid breaking the fast during Madhyahna. If due to some reasons one is not able to break the fast during Pratahkal then one should do it after Madhyahna."
Hari Vasara ends at 10:18 am
Importance of Parivartini Ekadashi
On this day, Lord Vishnu is worshipped in his Vamana avatar. Observing this vrat is believed to bring happiness and good fortune. One belief also says that on this day, Mata Yashoda washed Shri Krishna's clothes at a jalashay (water reservoir), which is why the day is also called Jal Jhulani Ekadashi.
In temples, on this day, the idols of Shri Vishnu or the Shaligram is placed in a palki (palanquin), and after rituals, a grand procession is carried out. According to Dharma Granths, keeping the vrat (fast) of Parivartini Ekadashi destroys all sins and grants the punya of performing a Vajapeya Yajna. It is also believed that worshipping Lord Vishnu in his Vamana form on this day is equivalent to worshipping the three loks and the Tridev.
