IGNOU Admission 2025: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has once again extended the last date for admission for the July 2025 session. Now, students can apply till 15 September 2025 for admission to various courses under Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Mode. The application process is available on IGNOU's official website ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, and online courses portal ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

Earlier, the last date for application was 31 August. Many courses like Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Certificate, and PG Diploma are offered by IGNOU, in which now interested candidates can apply online by the deadline.

DEB ID required for application

According to the official notification, it is mandatory for the candidates applying for online and distance education to have a DEB ID. First, the students have to create this ID, and only after that will they be able to complete the application process.

Opportunity to get admission in more than 300 courses
IGNOU is giving students a golden opportunity to take admission in more than 300 courses in the July 2025 session. These include 48 undergraduate programs (such as B.A., B.Com., BBA) and 75 postgraduate programs (such as M.A., M.Sc., MBA). Along with this, a wide range of diplomas, post-graduate diplomas, certificates, and awareness programs are also available.

The admission process is conducted twice a year in IGNOU for the January and July sessions. The last date for application for the July 2025 session has been extended once again. Now students can take admission in various courses through online or distance learning mode till 15 September 2025.

IGNOU 2025: Registration Fee
The registration fee has been fixed at Rs 2000 for all category candidates. If a student seeks cancellation after admission is confirmed, the remaining amount will be refunded after deducting the registration fee from the fee. Students who have opted for a soft copy of the study material will have their fees refunded only after deducting the registration fee. In case of candidates availing a fee waiver, only the development fee will be refunded. No refund of any kind will be available after 60 days from the last date of admission.

IGNOU Admission 2025: How to apply

Candidates should first visit the official website ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Here, they have to create a new account by clicking on “New Registration” and entering their name, mobile number, email, and password.

After completion of registration, candidates can log in and select the course available in online or ODL mode.

After this, they have to fill in their personal information, educational qualifications, and contact details.

Some important documents have to be uploaded along with the application.

Now pay the application fee online.

After filling in all the details, submit the form, download its receipt and keep it safe.
