Delhi-ncr weather:It has been decided to close all schools in Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram on 3 September 2025 due to continuous torrential rains in Delhi-NCR. The purpose of this decision is to ensure the safety of students, teachers and school staff. Due to heavy rains, the problem of waterlogging has arisen in many areas, due to which traffic has also been badly affected.
The district administration has ordered all government and private schools to be closed for one day. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the warning of the Meteorological Department, in which more rain has been expected in the coming days. Officials have clarified that further information will be given after reviewing the situation.
There have been reports of serious waterlogging in Sector 18, Sector 62 and many parts of Greater Noida of Noida. A similar situation has been confirmed by Ghaziabad and Gurugram. School children and daily passengers are facing huge problems due to filling water on the roads. Vehicles are running slow in many places, due to which there is a situation of traffic jam.
Some schools may organize online classes to not completely disrupt educational activities. However, most schools have announced a complete holiday on Tuesday. Parents have been advised to follow the information issued by the official website of the school or the local administration.
In view of heavy rains in Delhi and surrounding areas, the water level of Yamuna river is also being monitored. The administration is cautious in view of the possibility of floods in the low -lying areas and emergency services are on alert.
While the services of Delhi Metro continue normally, on the other hand, the speed of taxi, bus and private vehicles has been affected due to waterlogging. Due to rain, many people could not reach their offices on time and the attendance in some offices was low.
The administration has appealed to all citizens to be cautious till the weather improves and avoid unnecessary travel. The upcoming instructions regarding opening or closing schools will be issued according to the weather conditions.
It has been decided to keep schools closed due to heavy rains in Gurugram. Along with this, it has been suggested to run online classes. Similarly, in some districts of Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, it has been decided to keep schools closed. Schools will also be closed in some districts of Jammu. Schools have been closed in Himachal Pradesh.
