Fans of The Sidemen have expressed their worries after one member of the YouTube group revealed a significant career development.

JJ, also known as KSI online, has been announced as a full-time judge on the forthcoming series of Britain's Got Talent.

The YouTuber, who is also recognised in the music and boxing industries, has previously made several guest appearances on the show.

In fact, his golden buzzer selection, Harry Moulding, went on to win the previous series outright.

KSI will be aiming to replicate his knack for identifying genuine talent. He shared the news on his social media account in typical Sidemen fashion.

In a video, he is seen wandering the streets and pressing his BGT red buzzer at anything that annoys him. This includes a Tottenham Hotspur fan (he supports Arsenal), a barista who doesn't stock his Prime drink, and street performers, reports the Mirror.

He awakens from this peculiar dream and confesses that he misses 'doing BGT '. He then phones Simon Cowell to inform him that he needs to return to the show, and the pop mogul invites him back full-time for 2026.

The decision to make KSI's role a permanent one comes after former judge and Strictly star Bruno Tonioli confirmed his departure from the series. He will instead focus on his commitments with Dancing with the Stars in the US.

KSI declared regarding the announcement: "I'm so grateful and happy to be a part of the Britain's Got Talent team for another season I had such a good time last year and I can't wait to see some more top talent. I'm full of energy, ready to go and can't wait to make this the most entertaining BGT season ever. Let's do this."

Sidemen enthusiasts were swift to respond to the revelation, with countless supporters rushing to express their congratulations.

One individual commented on social media: "I think that gig really suits someone like JJ. I'm happy for him. Also paving the road for other 'Youtubers' to go mainstream is cool."

A second person remarked: "From CoD (Call of Duty) montages and the R face to BGT judge is crazy work."

Nevertheless, numerous devoted followers and watchers of the YouTube channel, which uploads content regularly, voiced identical worries.

They questioned whether his participation in the ITV contest would lead to reduced appearances in his personal videos.

One individual shared on the Sidemen subreddit: "Good for him! Although he's probably gonna miss quite a few sidemen Sundays now unfortunately."

Another person concurred: "Exactly what you said. I wonder how much this will affect other stuff, I feel like BGT does a lot of episodes."
