There is good news for the youth dreaming of becoming a teacher. Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has issued a recruitment to fill 500 vacant posts of Professor- Agriculture (School Education) under the Secondary Education Department. According to the notification, online applications for this recruitment will start from September 4.

Interested and eligible candidates will be able to complete the application process through online mode by visiting the official website of RPSC rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in or by visiting the SSO portal sso.rajasthan.gov.in as soon as the application starts. The last date for filling the form is 3 October 2025.

Eligibility and Criteria

To participate in this recruitment, the candidate should have a four-year graduation degree in Agriculture / Horticulture recognized by UGC, post-graduation in the related subject of Agriculture / Horticulture recognized by UGC, and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from any institute recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education. Along with this, it is mandatory for the candidate to have knowledge of writing Hindi in the Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

Keep in mind that the candidates who have joined or are going to join the final year of their educational qualification are also eligible to apply, but they will have to provide proof of obtaining their educational qualification before the competitive examination on behalf of the Commission.

Age
The minimum age of the candidate for applying in this recruitment is 21 years, and the maximum age is 40 years, as of 1 January 2026. However, candidates coming from the reserved category will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules.

Application fee
Along with filling the application form, the application fee for general and OBC candidates will have to be deposited at Rs 600, and the application fee for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC, EWS, and Divyang candidates will have to be deposited at Rs 400. Rs 500 will be charged separately for making changes in the application.

How to apply
To apply for this recruitment, you will have to go to the commission's website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in and click on the apply online link or login to the SSO portal sso.rajasthan.gov.in and select the recruitment portal available in the Citizen App (G2C) and do one time registration (OTR). After OTR, the candidates will be able to complete the application process by logging in to the portal and going to the recruitment portal.
