Closure of Schools in Ghaziabad

Due to ongoing heavy rainfall, all educational institutions in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad will be closed on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. The district administration in Ghaziabad has confirmed that both government and private schools will not operate to prioritize the safety of students, teachers, and staff. On Tuesday, significant rainfall affected Ghaziabad and Noida, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a yellow alert for these areas.

Official Directive for School Closures

An official order was released under the guidance of Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar, with enforcement by Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) O.P. Yadav, stating that all schools and colleges will remain closed on September 3. The directive emphasized, "Given the severe rainfall in Ghaziabad, a holiday has been declared for all educational institutions up to Class 12 on September 3, 2025. Compliance with this order is essential."

Noida Schools Also Closed

In a similar move, the Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration has mandated the closure of schools, as the area was under a yellow alert on Tuesday, September 2. Schools in Noida and Greater Noida will also be closed on Wednesday, September 3, following the directive from District Magistrate Medha Roopam and enforced by District Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar.

Uncertainty Surrounds Delhi Schools

Meanwhile, as Delhi experiences continuous rainfall and thunderstorms, parents and students are anxious about potential school closures. Currently, there has been no official announcement regarding school holidays in Delhi, leaving the situation uncertain. However, given the adverse weather conditions, the government may still decide to close schools for the day.
