Glen Powell looks completely transformed in the official trailer for Disney+'s forthcoming sitcom Chad Powers.

Glen Powell has been capturing audiences' attention over recent years, featuring in blockbusters including Top Gun: Maverick, Anyone But You alongside Sydney Sweeney and Twisters with Superman actor David Corenswet.

He is now embracing a markedly different character in Disney+'s Chad Powers which sees him portray star quarterback Russ Holliday who ruins his career following an "unforgivable mistake".

In an attempt to re-enter the football world, Chad executes a "Mrs Doubtfire" strategy by masquerading as the "talented oddball" Chad Powers and joining a different team.

Viewers are taking a second look however as Powell sports a dramatically altered appearance when portraying Chad, complete with artificial hair, prosthetic teeth, an enlarged nose and fuller cheeks.

In the trailer, whilst dressed as Chad, Russell dazzles everyone at his new squad the South Georgia Catfish with someone describing it as "one hell of a performance".

He rapidly discovers it increasingly challenging to conceal his real identity though as his artificial hair begins lifting when he removes his helmet and Chad cannot enter the men's changing room due to his distinctive tattoos.

The mascot, who remains one of the few people aware of Russell's genuine identity, informs him: "This isn't just football. It's acting."

And when he queries why she is assisting him, she simply responds: "Because no one is beyond second chances."

Chad Powers is set to premiere its first two episodes on Disney+ on Tuesday, 30th September.

Following this, a new episode will be released weekly until the season finale on Tuesday, 28th October.

Not only does Powell take the lead in Chad Powers, he also co-wrote and executive produced the series, alongside Michael Waldron, known for his work on Rick and Morty, Loki and the upcoming 2022 Doctor Strange film.

American football legends, former quarterbacks and brothers Eli and Peyton Manning, also serve as executive producers.

The cast also includes Perry Mattfield from In The Dark, Quentin Plair of Tiny Beautiful Things, and Steve Zahn, star of Silo.

Chad Powers premieres on Tuesday, September 30, on Disney+.
