Reality star Vicky Pattison will be among the 15 celebrities to make their Strictly Come Dancing debut this month, with the hopes of lifting the highly coveted Glitterball Trophy. The former Geordie Shore star was announced as the 11th famous face during a This Morning episode and has since kept fans updated with her excitement to take on the glitzy ballroom. Although her professional partner has yet to be revealed, Vicky is anticipating a busy autumn and potential winter ahead as she already bid summer farewell with an emotional post about gratitude.

This time, the 37-year-old returned to Instagram with encouragement for her 5.5 million followers about living in the moment. Alongside a clip of her paddleboarding on holiday, the Strictly star penned: "A wise man once said: If you're 37, don't waste your time wishing you were 18 again. Instead imagine you're 90 and you just woke up at 37 again.. with 50 more years ahead of you. How would you live differently?" Vicky admitted: "I've lost myself a bit this year, prioritised the wrong things and exhausted myself giving energy and focus to stuff that ultimately didn't deserve that much gravity."

In the lengthy caption, the star highlighted the importance of enjoying life and continued: "Your friends and family are going to talk about how you made them feel, the special moments you spent together.. that drunken weekend in Paris with the girls, that sunny day spent at the beach with the kids, movie nights with your partner, your laugh, your smile... Those are the moments that matter."

Vicky added: "And that's what I want more of... I feel like that's what 90-year-old me will want to look back and reminisce about."

Speaking on her own experiences, the TV star shared: "I've spent years trying to work as hard as I can to convince people that, realistically, are never going to like me, that I'm more than just that girl from Geordie Shore."

Vicky then dismissed the efforts as "wasted energy" and proclaimed: "I like who I'm becoming, I'm proud of who I am at 37, and I can finally stop punishing myself for who I was at 18."

As for her future plans, she revealed: "I want to spend my time and energy with the people who like me... just as I am. We get limited time on this earth and I want to live every day with gratitude, fun and those who matter."

Her comments were inundated with heart-warming messages of support from fans, as one penned: "Wise words. We always try to embrace the time we have and the moments we have, as you know."

Another added: "I like you! You're pretty cool! You're more than reality TV! You're just you! Vicky Pattison! And we [love] you." While a third was encouraged and shared: "Taking this into the rest of the year."

In addition to starring on Geordie Shore, Vicky has ventured elsewhere on reality TV, having featured on Ex on the Beach, Celebrity Dinner Date and then Vicky Pattison: My Big Fat Geordie Wedding for her 2024 nuptials to her husband Ercan Ramadan in Italy.

Away from the screens, she also became a best-selling author for her autobiography, Nothing But the Truth, which was released in 2014, and Vicky also co-hosts a podcast titled Get A Grip, alongside Irish TV presenter, Angela Scanlon.
