When is the first Pradosh fast of September?

The Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start from 4:08 am on September 5 and will last till 3:12 am on September 6. In such a situation, the Pradosh fast will be kept on Friday, September 5. This day falls on Friday, so it will be called Shukra Pradosh Vrat. The auspicious time for worship on this day will be from 6:38 pm to 8:55 pm.

Flowers to be offered on Pradosh Vrat
Oleander flower
It is believed that offering oleander flower to Lord Shiva on the day of Pradosh Vrat makes him very happy. These flowers are of both red and white colors, which is considered very auspicious.

Shami flower
In the Vedas and Puranas, the Shami tree and its flower have been given special importance. Offering a Shami flower to Bholenath on Pradosh Vrat also fulfills all the wishes. This flower is one of the favorite flowers of Lord Shiva.

Aak flower
Offering an Aak flower to Lord Shiva is considered very auspicious on Pradosh day. By offering it on Shivling, the wishes of the person are fulfilled, and the blessings of God are attained.

Dhatura flower
Mahadev is especially fond of Dhatura. On Pradosh Vrat, both the flower and fruit should be offered to the Shivalinga. This destroys sins and leads to the attainment of virtue.
