In a shocking incident, a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus travelling from Devanahalli to Majestic was spotted by a conductor who slapped a passenger, a musician from the Northeast and based in Bengaluru, following an argument over ticketing. The passenger said he doesn't travel by bus often and so he didn't know he had to approach the conductor for a ticket.

When a police team arrived, he was fined Rs 420 for travelling without a ticket and then an argument started which escalated into a fight. A video of this altercation is going viral on social media, in which the passenger is seen asking the conductor's name and threatening to go to the police station.

The passenger has posted his ordeal online, demanding justice and action from the BMTC. The BMTC has said that a complaint has been registered, but no official statement has been issued yet. The passenger feared retaliation if he did not respond physically, and being a Northeast resident living in Bengaluru, understands the potential for harm. The incident has sparked controversy on social media, with passengers condemning the attack and demanding strict action against the conductor. The video has raised concerns over the safety of passengers and the conduct of public transport workers.
