Students have got a big relief in Round 2 of NEET UG Counseling 2025. MCC has increased a total of 2720 MBBS seats in medical colleges across the country. These include 2170 government and 550 deemed university seats. The counseling process will run till September 9.

NEET UG Counseling 2025: There is great news for the students dreaming of admission in medical college. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has started the second round of NEET UG Counseling 2025. With this, a total of 2720 MBBS seats have been added across the country.

Increase in seats in government and deemed universities

Total new seats: 2720

In government colleges: 2170 seats

In deemed universities: 550 seats

Of these, 1200 seats are related to the opening of new medical colleges, while 970 seats have been increased in already running colleges.

Assam: Prajyotishpur Medical College – 50 seats

New Delhi: ESIC Medical College, Basaidarapur – 50 seats

Gujarat: ESIC Medical College, Ahmedabad – 50 seats

Haryana: PT Neki Ram Sharma GMC Bhiwani – 100 seats, Maharshi Chyavan GMC

Koriyawas – 100 seats

Kerala: GMC Kasargod – 50 seats, GMC Wayanad – 50 seats

Madhya Pradesh: GMC Singrauli – 100 seats, Sheopur – 100 seats

Maharashtra: ESIC GMC Andheri – 50 seats

Rajasthan: GMC Jaisalmer – 50 seats, GMC Tonk – 50 seats

Uttar Pradesh: ESIC GMC Noida – 50 seats

NEET UG Counseling Round-2 Schedule

Registration: 9 September till 12 noon

Last date for fee submission: 9 September 3 pm

Choice Filling: 5 to 9 September till 11:55 pm

Choice Locking: 9 September 4 pm to 11:55 pm

Seat Allotment: 10 and 11 September

Result: 12 September 2025

College Reporting: 13 to 19 September 2025

After this, the process of the third round will start from 24 September and after that the stray vacancy round will also be organized.
