Tom Holland and Zendaya have managed to become one of the most celebrated power couples in the entertainment industry worldwide. The two, who met on the sets of ‘ Spider-Man: Homecoming ,’ have been going strong for quite some time now, and over the years have shared some hilarious moments as well. Here’s a look back at the one time that Tom Holland made a funny post about Zendaya, but ended up facing the wrath of her beloved fanbase.
Tom Holland made fun of ‘golden child’ Zendaya and got attacked by her fan baseThe two initially met in 2016, when filming for the first ‘Spider-Man’ began. Fast forward to 2017, and the two had already shared a lot of adorable moments during interviews and promotional events. In an interview with KISS BREAKFAST, Tom Holland even talked about how the two are now “best friends,” all the while calling Zendaya “the golden child” who can do no wrong in a hilarious moment.

He even shared a funny anecdote where he talked about how he copied one of Zendaya’s posts to take a dig at her; however, it all ended up backfiring when her “40 million” fan base came after him. He shared that, “The thing with her is her Twitter, so she sent out a tweet; she had a picture of her, like, on the red carpet, being like ‘stealing hearts since 96.’ I did the same picture saying, ‘Stealing hearts since never.’”

He later revealed that the joke he tried to play on his fellow co-star at the time ended up backfiring badly, as all of her fan base came down on him, saying things like “HOW DARE YOU” and “SHE’S GOING TO DRAG YOU THROUGH THE MUD ,” amongst other things.
This has been widely written down as one of the most adorable and funny interactions between Zendaya and Tom Holland from their early days, especially from when the two were not even confirmed to be in a relationship.
