Home Bargains has announced that all its UK stores will shut down for three days. The much-loved bargain retailer said on Friday, September 5, that the decision was made at its annual conference with the aim of giving staff a break.
Home Bargains stores will close on Christmas Day, Thursday December 25, Boxing Day, Friday December 26, and New Year's Day, Thursday, January 1 so that employees can enjoy the festive season with their loved ones. Stores will also shut earlier than usual on Christmas Eve, ceasing trading at 5pm to give teams additional time to spend the evening with family and friends.
A spokesperson for Home Bargains stated: "Our colleagues work incredibly hard throughout the year, and we want to recognise that commitment. As a family-run business, we understand the importance of spending time with family and friends, particularly over the holidays. We're proud to give our teams additional time off to enjoy the festive season."
