RCF Sports quota: If you want to work in the railways, then there is a great opportunity for you. Actually, Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala has issued a notification for the recruitment of a total of 23 posts under the sports quota. In such a situation, interested candidates can apply in offline mode till 29 September 2025. Let us tell you that the application for railway recruitment for sports quota has started from 30 August 2025. Candidates who are at least 10th pass or ITI can apply for this recruitment. 10th / ITI or NAC (National Apprenticeship Certificate) is required for Level 1. Whereas for the post of Technician-3, 10th along with an ITI / Act Apprentice certificate is required.

Candidates appointed from this quota will have to undergo 2 years of training, but if you are an ITI, then the training will be of only 6 months.

Age limit
The age of the applicant for this recruitment should be between 18 and 25 years as on 1 July 2026. Age relaxation for reserved categories for this post will be given as per government rules.

Application fee

For this post, the fee is Rs 500 for the general category (Rs 400 will be refunded if you participate in the trial).

While for SC, ST, ex-servicemen, women, minority, and the economically backward class, it is Rs 200.

How will the selection be done

The recruitment process for sports quota in Railways will be based on sports trials and document verification. Candidates who perform well in sports will be appointed. Interested candidates can download and print the application form from the RCF website.
