What did the commission say in the advisory?

Issuing an advisory before the SSC CGL Exam, the commission has said that if any candidate causes any kind of disturbance or trickery during the examination, then administrative action will be taken against them. Along with this, strict action will also be taken under the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.

Tampering with the computer will cost heavily.
The commission has clarified in its advisory that tampering with the computer during the examination can cost heavily to the candidates. The commission has said that advanced technology will be used to detect the connection of the computer to any other machine, which will detect it immediately. Similarly, Aadhaar is to be used for facial recognition during the verification of candidates, biometrics, entry, and exit. CCTV surveillance and AI analytics will be deployed. Through this, incidents like passing chits will be monitored.

The exam will not be stopped immediately, and candidates will be banned.
The commission has clarified that if any candidate's cheating is revealed or caught during the examination, then the exam will not be stopped immediately to avoid any kind of trouble for other candidates. However, electronic evidence will be used to cancel the marks of such candidates and deprive them of the examination. That is, candidates can be banned for causing any kind of disturbance during the examination.

Commission's advisory for candidates
The commission has also issued an advisory for the candidates. The commission has said that candidates should not write the answers to all the questions on rough sheets; it will be considered suspicious. Similarly, it has been advised not to talk to other candidates or peep into their computers during the exam. At the same time, candidates have been told not to lock Aadhaar biometrics. Biometric verification is mandatory at various stages.
