Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has authorised all its departments to procure one AI tool to strengthen administrative efficiency and enhance the skills of its employees.

“One AI tool which will be the basic version, a level above the free version, to support efficient functioning and capacity building of officers and staff,” read the official order issued by GA Department.

While noting that this initiative underscored the state’s commitment to administrative reforms and good governance through technology-driven transformation, the order reiterated that no secret or confidential
documents/materials will uploaded on any external platform.

“It has been considered imperative to integrate Al tools into day-to-day government operations. The adoption of Al will facilitate streamlined workflows, enhance data-driven decision-making, and strengthen the capacity of government employees, particularly in acquiring proficiency in Al- enabled tools, thereby enabling them to meet emerging administrative challenges,” it added.
