The semi-final match between GAM Esports and Team Secret Whales (TSW) in the LCP 2025 was anticipated as an early final by domestic League of Legends fans. This internal battle would determine not only who would compete for the championship but also who would claim the last ticket to the 2025 World Championship.

However, the result was more straightforward than expected. Once considered one of the top teams in the VCS with high potential for international success, GAM was swiftly defeated in the domestic showdown, suffering a 3–0 sweep at the hands of TSW.
Team Secret Whales continued to assert their dominance, with their young roster securing a decisive victory over the more experienced GAM. This result also dashed hopes of witnessing Vietnamese players compete together for an international League of Legends title on home soil in Da Nang.
In the first game, TSW’s Hizto made a clever rotation into GAM’s bottom lane, securing the first kill against Artemis. Following this, a series of skirmishes broke out in the top lane, with TSW gaining momentum. This led to TSW winning with two kills secured by Eddie.
By the 13-minute mark, Hizto and Taki invaded GAM’s jungle, picking up four additional kills and further extending their lead. TSW’s first victory was in line with expectations.

In the second game, with a 1–0 lead, TSW maintained stable control, outplaying GAM consistently. Hizto’s combination with Qiyana kept TSW ahead, even though GAM secured first blood.
At the 22-minute mark, TSW set a trap in the jungle, ambushing Eddie and drawing GAM into a setup. Despite GAM’s efforts to isolate Hizto, they were caught off guard by his stuns, allowing TSW’s Eddie and teammates to swoop in and wipe out GAM. This team fight secured TSW’s second win, making the score 2–0.
The deciding match started cautiously, with GAM determined to bounce back after two consecutive losses, taking first blood. However, their celebrations were short-lived. At the 10-minute mark, team captain Levi was unexpectedly taken down, leaving GAM vulnerable.
As continuous skirmishes ensued, TSW capitalized on their lead. By the 22-minute mark, TSW secured Cloud Drake, further solidifying their advantage. In the 26th minute, Eddie claimed Baron and eliminated Elio, paving the way for TSW’s overwhelming 3–0 victory over GAM.
This result means GAM must now watch from the sidelines as TSW advances to represent Vietnam in the LCP 2025 Finals and the 2025 World Championship. The LCP 2025 Finals will take place on Sept. 20-21, 2025, at the Tien Son Sports Arena in Da Nang.
