This means that in the worship of Goddess, the north direction has been considered special fruitful. Keeping this tradition in mind, the Goddess statue is often kept in the east or north direction in the worship of Navratri.

On the basis of these signs, it is considered to be the best to install the urn north-east and the idol in the east or north direction. This increases the fruit of worship of Navratri many times and the grace of Maa Durga is easily attained.
