Mumbai (Anil Bedag): Smita Thackeray, who has made her mark in social work, has started another great initiative to give wings to the dreams of the disadvantaged children. His Mukti Foundation has launched the ‘Mukti Cultural Hub’, which will give art and theatrical training to the children of slum areas for free. This initiative will give children a chance to not only education, but also to improve their skills.
In this special project, famous actor Anupam Kher has partnered with ‘Actor Prepairs’. Under this, children will be taught the nuances of dance, drama and acting. Talented children will be selected through the selection process in schools, so that their talent can get the right direction.
During the announcement of this project at Taraben Master School in Mumbai, Smita Thackeray inspired the children with enthusiasm. He said, “Along with education, the personality development of children is also necessary. Bring your art in front of the world with confidence. Whether it is dance, music, acting or singing, show your enthusiasm and take the first step towards success.”
Mukti Cultural Hub was announced with the ‘Aao Hunger’ campaign of Mukti Foundation. Smita Thackeray believes that when the stomach of the children is full, then they will be able to improve their talent. That is why his organization is giving opportunities to the children of slum settlements in the fields of education, food and now.
The Mukti Foundation has already got the support of many Bollywood stars. Stars like Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor are associated with this institution. Apart from this, many big actors and directors of the film industry are also ready to join this cultural hub. Smita Thackeray insisted, “Talent should not be tied in the boundary of rich and poor. Every child should get a platform of art.”
