Lucknow, 17 September. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched 'Vishwakarma Expo-2025' on the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti at Indira Gandhi Foundation in Lucknow. During this, he informed that 12 new trades have now been added with traditional 11 artisan trades. These include mobile repairing, automobile repairing, electronic and electrical goods repairing, plumbing, computer repairing, solar panel repairing, digital photography, beauty and wellness. CM Yogi said that with these new trades, youth will be linked to self -reliance, modern technology and global market.
The Chief Minister said that in the last eight and a half years, artisans and craftsmen have changed the picture of Uttar Pradesh. He said that now it is wrong to call UP a sick state, because this state has become the growth engine of the country and now there are immense possibilities here.
In the program, banks gave a loan of ₹ 1,32,000 crore for artisans, craftsmen and entrepreneurs across the state. The Chief Minister said that this amount is more than the entire year budget of many states. During this, he provided a loan of ₹ 2 lakh to Shashi Devi of Sitapur and ₹ 9.5 lakh to Anshu Sharma of Lucknow.
Under Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, 12,000 artisans across the state were given toolkit. From the stage, the Chief Minister honored Ritwik Kanaujia and Priyanka Kumari of Lucknow with a toolkit.
CM Yogi said that UP is now preparing job providers, not job cakers. He said that in 2017, where there was a loan of only Rs 44 on deposit 100 rupees, today this ratio has increased to 62%. The government aims to reach 75% by the next financial year.

Chief Minister Yogi said that the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme has given UP a new identity. Due to this scheme, the export of the state has reached 1 lakh 86 thousand crore rupees. This provided employment to millions of youth and UP got a distinct identity at the national level.
In his speech, Yogi Adityanath remembered the idea of Mahatma Gandhi's village Swaraj. He said that earlier villages were self -sufficient and only artisans used to strengthen the social and economic system. He gave examples that today cricket and football goods are made in Meerut, leather work is done in Agra, while artisans of Varanasi, Mirjapur and Bhadohi are famous all over the world for carpets.
The program signed 3 important MoUs with several companies and organizations. These included many institutions including RailTel India, GMR, royal exports, Usha International, Lakme, Mr. Brown, Minda Silka, HCL Foundation, Apptek, Care Skill Academy, Apparel Training and Design Center. These companies will train traditional artisans with new technology.
Appointment letters were given to 111 junior assistants of the state. From the platform, the Chief Minister handed over the appointment letter to 11 candidates himself. These included Auraiya's Shiva Dixit, Jyoti Singh of Mathura, Rohit Kumar of Hamirpur, Nandbabu Patel of Banda, Amit Kumar Gond of Deoria, Rajneesh Kumar Tiwari of Bahraich, Sandhya Verma of Ambedkar Nagar, Shweta Srivastava of Lucknow, Kavita Maurya of Kanpur, Shashank Yadav of Unnao and Ravindra Nigam of Hapur.
Chief Minister Yogi informed that Vishwakarma Expo will run from 17 to 19 September. After this, UP International Trade Show will be held in Greater Noida from 25 to 29 September, in which buyers from all over the world will come. He appealed to the artisans and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the opportunity and bring their products to the global stage.
CM Yogi said that along with Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti, today is the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the most popular leader of the country and the craftsman of the new India. Describing the occasion as "double the day of happiness", he said that Uttar Pradesh will play a big role in meeting PM Modi's developed India 2047.
