Movie lovers are in for a treat on September 19, as five new Hindi films hit the big screen-Jolly LLB 3, Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi, Nishaanchi, Vijeyta, and Anveshan. Each film brings a unique story, ranging from courtroom comedy to political drama, crime thrillers, biopics, and suspense.
1. Jolly LLB 3
The much-awaited courtroom comedy-drama is back with two Jollys-Jagdishwar "Jolly" Mishra (Akshay Kumar) and Jagdish "Jolly" Tyagi (Arshad Warsi). As both lawyers clash in court with their witty arguments and distinct styles, humor mixes with emotion and legal drama.
The film also stars Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Seema Biswas, and Gajraj Rao. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the movie promises the same lighthearted courtroom fun that made the earlier installments popular, but with fresh twists.
2. Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi
This political biopic tells the story of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from his early life and spiritual journey to his rise in politics. The film portrays his struggles, mentorship under Mahant Avaidyanath, and the socio-political challenges he faced.
Directed by Ravindra Gautam, it stars Anant Joshi as Yogi Adityanath, with Paresh Rawal, Dinesh Lal Yadav, Pawan Malhotra, Rajesh Khattar, and Garima Vikrant Singh in key roles.
3. Nishaanchi
A gripping crime drama, Nishaanchi follows two brothers who choose very different paths-one standing for family values and morality, while the other is consumed by crime and greed. Their choices lead to life- changing consequences and intense conflict.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film stars Aishwarya Thackeray in a challenging double role, along with Monica, Vedika Pinto, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra.
4. Vijeyta
Inspired by the life of Dr. Rajesh K. Agarwal, this biographical drama showcases his journey from a teenage laborer in Kolkata to a billionaire entrepreneur and sustainability leader in Dubai. The story highlights his struggles, personal losses, business challenges, and eventual rise as a philanthropist.
Directed by Rajiv S. Ruia, the film features Gyan Prakash, Bharti Awasthi, Deeksha Thakur, Godan Kumar, and Preeti Agarwal.
5. Anveshan
This suspense thriller revolves around six horticulture students who visit a "plant resort" for their thesis project. What starts as a peaceful academic trip soon turns into a nightmare when strange murders begin to take place. One by one, the students are killed in mysterious ways, forcing the survivors to uncover the shocking truth behind the killings.
Directed by Mohamed Ismail, the film combines natural beauty with chilling suspense.
