New Delhi: Tata motors which is known for their durability has added another 5-Star rating to their Altroz, this time by Bharat NCAP while the rival, Baleno from Maruti Suzuki is also there but not with five star rating however its more popular than Tata Altroz. 

In cars where durability and safety is an important aspect there feature and looks also matters. Suzuki is very well aware of this. If you are gonna look just lightly, then you would definitely like Baleno as compared to Altroz. Nowadays people are more interested in looks rather than safety. However at the time of accident safety matters, looks don’t save you at all, but it doesn’t mean people are gonna buy a car which is not good looking. Because in contemporary society, cars are not just only used to drive or travel but also symbols of status.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz safety ratings

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno has also been crash tested at Bharat NCAP. It received four stars out of five with  26.52 points out of 32 in the adult occupant protection (AOP) category and in the child occupant protection (COP) category with three stars out of five with 34.81 points out of 49. However, The Altroz performed much better than Baleno and got five stars in all categories with 29.65 points in the AOP category and 44.9 points in the COP category.

Basically both cars are hatchbacks and in terms of size both are nearly similar while both cars come with six airbags, electronic stability control, and ABS with EBD as standard. However, the Suzuki Baleno is packed with petrol and CNG engine options with MT and AMT variants, while the Altroz is came up with petrol, diesel and CNG motors along MT, AMT and DCA options.

Baleno comes with between Rs 6.74 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.96 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on variant, while the Altroz sold at the price of Rs 6.89 lakh and Rs 11.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
