The actor's mother, however, has now come forth to address the situation.

Menglong's mother, however, put all of the rumours to rest in a recent post she shared on her social media account. She shared that "Recently, I experienced immense pain and sorrow as my dear son Menglong had a fatal fall from a height after consuming alcohol and left us forever".
Her heartfelt post continued by saying that the authorities are looking into the matter and have informed her of the investigation. She confirmed that funeral preparations for the idol are underway as well.
She ended her post by saying, "I also hope to return to my peaceful life soon, and while cherishing my memories of Menglong, I strive to live every day well. I believe this is also Menglong’s wish. Lastly, I hope he rests in peace in heaven. Once again, thank you, everyone, for your concern and those who have helped us before".
