Aryan Khan’s Netflix series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, has quickly become one of the most talked-about shows of the year. The seven-episode satirical drama not only marked Aryan’s debut as writer-director but also surprised fans with powerful performances and unexpected cameos.
The series featured Lakshya and Raghav Juyal in impactful roles, while Bobby Deol, Manoj Pahwa, and Mona Singh brought depth and intensity to the storyline. Adding to the excitement, industry heavyweights like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Karan Johar made cameo appearances that kept fans glued to the screen.
But what really caught everyone’s attention was the character Shaumik Talwar, played by Divik Sharma, with netizens now guessing who he might be based on. For the unversed, Shaumik Talwar was the son of superstar Ajay Talwar, played by Bobby Deol.
Did Ahaan Panday inspire Shaumik Talwar’s character in ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’?As fans are loving Aryan Khan’s debut series, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, the internet seems to be obsessed with one particular character, Shaumik Talwar. Viewers are now speculating whether this role was modeled on Ahaan Panday, who made his big Bollywood debut earlier this year with Saiyaara.

Fans on Reddit have been actively discussing the similarities. Some believe Aryan slyly referenced Ahaan through this character’s traits, while others think it is a pure coincidence. Sharing a collage of the character and Ahaan, a user asked on Reddit, “was he playing ahaan panday in the bastards of bollywood.”
Several Reddit users shared what they thought of the character. One user wrote, “Don’t know what he played but guy did an amazing job. Every time boy was on screen, I got irritated ( as I was supposed to).”

Another comment read, “Don't think so. Am I the only one who thinks Shaumik had Harsh Burrden Kapoor written all over him? And the actor playing him did a brilliant job lol.”
A third user disagreed, saying, “Aryan trolled the entire industry and then invited them all to participate in it. It's a very ballsy project because it doesn't hold back, and only a star kid with SRK's influence and connection could have pull this off and not get attacked by everyone. It's an insane show. I am sure not all of it is "real" but it feels too close to home to be not.”

A fan added, “Yeh sabse pagla character tha. “Duty free shopping is for servants” 😭 Everytime he came on screen pure menace. Love how bobby reacts to him. Ajay talwar loathed him. Ps- dont think its ahaan. I mean can be any starkid that aryan took as inspiration or sort of made a version of things he knows.”
“When they said he couldn't speak hindi and to go to a workshop or something like this it was like taking a dig at star kids not being able to speak their own language properly. Ahaan can so don't think it was,” said one of the users.
