New Delhi. Monday i.e. 22 September 2025 is the first day of Navratri. From this day, new GST rates are going to be implemented across the country. GST earlier had rates of 0, 5, 12, 18 and 28 percent+cess. Now in GST, only 4 rates 0, 5, 18 and 40 percent tax will be levied on different things. This will make it easier for the common man and the poor to buy things that make life everyday and easy. In the new GST, most of the things have been brought at the rate of 5 per cent, which were earlier in 18 and 12 per cent. At the same time, all of the 5 percent GST items will no longer have any GST.

Earlier, cement used to cost 28 percent GST. Double door fridge, TV, washing machine and dish washer will now have to pay 18 percent GST instead of 28. This is going to save a lot of common people.
