Customers have voted for their favourite holiday parks across the UK. Lesser-known brands took the top spot in the most recent Which? ranking, leaving Butlins, Center Parcs and Haven out of the top five.

The 16-resort ranking was based on 2,255 responses from Which? members, who rated the resorts on factors like cleanliness, customer service, facilities, value for money, food and drink, and entertainment. Potters Resorts, which has two resorts in Essex and Norfolk, beat household names to the top. The resort boasts a lake and rifle-shooting range, while activities and West End-inspired entertainment were rated five stars by visitors.

In the survey, guests said they paid £110 per person per night on average, which they thought was a good deal, awarding Potters four stars for value for money. Both resorts are all-inclusive, so alcoholic drinks are covered too.

A Which? member said: "Facilities are excellent. Activities varied and well organised. Entertainment outstanding. All inclusive deal was very good value. Food superb and plentiful."

Forest Holidays came in second, offering log cabin and treehouse accommodation in 13 woodland locations across the UK. All rooms have a hot tub as standard, and guests paid around £63pppn, with food, drinks, and activities costing extra.

The cleanliness, quality of the accommodation and customer service were big hits, securing four out of five stars. Activities included nature walks, kayaking and cycling, which earned it three stars for entertainment.

Household name Centre Parcs came in ninth, with four stars for cleanliness, accommodation, facilities, and variety of children's activities, although the number of free facilities earned two out of five stars. Customers said it cost an average of £76pppn.

Haven Holiday Parks placed just behind in tenth place, with threes and twos across the board, although the price was low at just £34pppn.

Butlins came in twelfth, costing £47pppn. It scored four stars for its quality of entertainment, and variety of children's activities, and scored threes and twos elsewhere.

The rating was based on 2,255 responses from 1,717 Which? members and the general public in a February and March 2024 survey.
