Charanjit Ahuja Passed Away: Veteran composer Charanjit Ahuja of Punjabi music industry has passed away. On Sunday (21 September), he breathed his last at his home in Mohali. He was 74 years old and was battling throat cancer for the past several years. The news of his death has led to mourning in the music industry. From Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to many legendary music artists of the industry, have mourned the death of Charanjit Ahuja and prayed for the peace of his soul. Celebs described his death as irreparable damage to the Punjabi music industry.
It is being told that Charanjit Ahuja was going on at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science and Research (PGIMR) of Chandigarh for the past several years. However, they used to go here, take treatment and come home. He is left behind by wife Sangeeta Ahuja and three sons. Charanjeet Ahuja's three sons are active in the music industry. His elder son Sachin Ahuja is a music producer of Punjabi cinema.
Charanjeet Ahuja composed music for many Punjabi films, including 'Banu Duniya Da', 'Gabru Punjabi Da', 'Hosani Jattan Di', 'Storm Singh' etc. He has a music studio in Delhi, where he worked. However, he shifted to Mohali a few years ago due to illness.
Paying tribute to Charanjit Ahuja on social media, Bhagwant Mann wrote, "The death of Charanjit Ahuja has caused irreparable damage to the Punjabi music industry. His company will always rule in the hearts of Punjabis. Sachin Ahuja, his family and fans are my condolences."
Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has also paid tribute to Charanjit Ahuja. Sharing a picture of a Ahuja on his Instagram story, he wrote, "As much work Charanjit Ahuja ji has done for music growth, hardly anyone else. The music made by him will always be with us. He was a true legend."
