A major car dealership has announced that it will be closing at the end of September due to the owners' inability to find a relocation site. Endeavour Hyundai, located on Tayfen Road, Bury St Edmunds, shared the news with customers via email.
They informed customers that the dealership will be closing on September 30 and said they had been "unable to locate suitable alternative premises" in the town. The dealership's email reads: "We regret to inform you that Hyundai Bury St Edmunds will be closing on 30th September."
They added: "You may have heard that the current site is going to be redeveloped. Unfortunately, we have been unable to locate suitable alternative premises in Bury St Edmunds."
Site bosses also confirmed where customers' new closest site would be, The Sun reports.
The email continued: "This means that your local Endeavour Hyundai will now be Hyundai Ipswich."
The beloved store was located just a six-minute walk from Bury St Edmunds railway station and offered a range of services, including repairs, MOT testing, and selling new and used vehicles.
The dealership also boasted an impressive 4.5 stars out of five on Google, with customers praising the dealership for its helpful staff, quality of service, and great atmosphere.
One customer wrote: "Despite my purchase being a Ford Kuga, the staff at Endeavour could not have been more professional or helpful."
They added: "Overall [it was] a very positive experience and I would have no hesitation in purchasing from Endeavour again. [It is] an excellent dealership with customer service which I personally would rate as second to none."
Another person who had purchased a used car from the dealership said: "I visited and test drove the car on Saturday. The car was MOT'd, had its health check, cleaned and ready for me to collect on the Thursday.
"I love my new car and I am very pleased with it. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Endeavour Hyundai, in Bury St Edmunds
to anyone looking for a Hyundai."
Customers have just days to visit the store, which will be open for the last time on Tuesday.
