Leela Jose P, a 70 -year -old grandmother from a remote village in Kerala, has broken all the old beliefs by fulfilling her old dream of skydiving in Dubai. Leela Jose P made the headlines when the video of her tendom skydive in the top of Dubai’s famous Skyline.

This exciting act took place during one of his regular Dubai visits when she came to meet her migrant son Aneesh P. Jose’s family. Leela often visits Dubai since her husband’s death six years ago. He said, I had only heard people jumping from the aircraft… I did not know that it is called Skydiving. Then I thought I had to do it too.

family support

Leela did not let her age come forward to her dreams. The next time he came to Dubai, when the family was watching the drone show near Anin Dubai, Leela mentioned Skydiving to son Aneesh and daughter -in -law Lintu. Anish, who works in a demolition company, was shocked first. He asked “Do you really want to do?” Leela immediately said, “If you allow, I will do it.”
Bahu Lintu also encouraged him. The daughter -in -law said, Ammachi (mother) will not say until she really wants.

Aneesh contacted Skidive Dubai the same night and took the mother there the next day. Leela said that “Initially we were not sure that they would accept the 70 -year -old contestant. When she arrived, the staff felt that Aneesh was about to jump.” When the instructor Ryan came to know that I came to know that I was going to jump, he asked if I was really ready. I said in Malayalam, “My age is not an issue, I want to jump.”

Jump thrill

Before flying, the instructor ensured his preparation several times. There were four youths in the batch, between whom Leela felt a little hesitant, but his resolve was firm. Leela, the first climb in the aircraft, jumped at the end. When I looked down, the boys were not looking, thinking how they disappeared so soon. A height of 13,000 feet freed around 7,000 feet. “Then I saw the sea. Thought if something happens, I will jump into the water and swim, I know how to swim.” The parachute opened at about 6,000 feet and the amazing view of Dubai appeared. This was a very beautiful scene. The instructor pointed to sites like Palm Jumerah and Burj Khalifa and showed them scenes.

Message to live completely

Leela said, “I am just a housewife. My husband was a bank officer and was a very good person. I have always liked the thrill. I used to ride every swing in the festivals of the village. My husband used to fulfill my wishes, now my son does the same.” This is not his first exciting experience. Prior to this, she has done ziplineing in Wayanad and paragliding in Fujaira. When he narrated this story to the neighbors who made fun of him earlier, “he was surprised,” he laughed. His video went viral in social media and then local media.

No age of dreams

Leela gave a message to live life completely: “I have brought up two children and now there are two grandchildren. The time that has now been now is a bonus. There is no reason to fear.” His next dream? “I am also ready to go to space because there is no age of dreams.
