Deepti Sharma came into limelight in 2017 during a big cricket match against Ireland and she and her teammate Poonam Raut scored a huge run together without getting out. Over the passing years Deepti Sharma has become one of India’s best all round cricket players and by 2025 she has played 112 One Day Internationals scoring 2,524 runs and taking 140 wickets. Not only that in T20 matches she has played 129 games, scored 1,100 runs and taken 144 wickets. She has also played 5 Test matches and again scoring 319 runs and taking 20 wickets. There is no doubt that Deepti Sharma is really excellent in cricket and people noticed that in Indian cricket leagues too because in the first Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction the team of UP Warriorz bought her for ₹2.6 crore and this made her the second highest paid Indian player after Smriti Mandhana. In the 2024 season Deepti scored the most runs for her team 295 runs and she was the fourth highest scorer in the whole league. She was very good at both batting and bowling and for that she won the Player of the Tournament award.
