Haryana News: A taunt of mother can change someone’s life so much, it has been proved by Asha Dhiryan, daughter -in -law of Sonepat in Haryana. During the 2020 lockdown, when Asha was engaged in studies, her mother Mala Devi said – “What is the benefit by reading so many books, until you go to KBC.”

This sentence was not simple, but became the turning point of Asha’s life. Today, the same Asha Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) not only arrived in season-17, but also showed her dreams by winning 5 lakh rupees.

Asha is originally from Khekra town in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. In 2015, he was married to Vinod Dhiryan, a resident of Moi Majri in Sonepat district of Haryana. Currently, she lives in a rented house in Sonepat city with her husband, 8 -year -old son Jai, 4 -year -old daughter Rashi and mother. He is the only child of his parents. The father died in 2010 due to illness.

Educationally Asha after graduation B.Ed in 2017 and then in 2021 M.Sc. (Chemistry) completed his studies. She worked as a teacher in a private school for a long time. But due to the passion of going to KBC, he resigned from the job two months ago, so that he could prepare completely.

His association with KBC was not new. She was just 9 years old when the show started in 2000. His father often used to say – “You will go to KBC one day.” Father’s dreams and mother’s sharp things eventually brought him to the stage where millions of people dream of reaching today.

Asha first applied for KBC in 2022. She then reached the ground audition, but was not selected. He did not give up and applied again in March 2025. This time, questions were sent to her for 14 days through the app, which she was shortlisted by answering. This was followed by audition in Delhi on 1 June and then he was called to Mumbai on 10 September. The show went on shooting for two days on September 11 and 12.

During the game, when the ‘Super Best’ round came, the host Amitabh Bachchan asked Asha what she wanted. To this he said – “Sir, I want to drink tea with your hands.” On this, Amitabh Bachchan smiled and put himself in a tea cup and gave it to Asha. Asha says, “This moment is the biggest achievement of my life. My father had a taste in that tea.”
