Bigg Boss 19: Makers of Bigg Boss 19 caught in copyright case

Bigg Boss 19: One of the most popular and controversial reality shows of television, Bigg Boss 19 is in trouble. The makers have allegedly received a legal notice, causing them a loss of crores of rupees. A small mistake has now turned into a major legal battle, and the reason is copyright violation.

Music copyright issue

Every morning starts with a vibrant morning song in Bigg Boss house, where the contestants get up dancing to Bollywood’s passionate songs. Although this series has always been a fun and entertaining part of the show, this time it has turned upside down.

A copyright licensing institution has accused the makers of using unauthorized songs without a proper license. According to reports, on September 3, 2025, songs were played at home like “Chikni Chameli” (from Agneepath) and “Dhutta Teri Ki” (from Gori Tere Pyaar). On September 19, a legal notice was sent officially to the producers, Endemol Shine India and the show directors, in which they were held accountable.

Manufacturers fined ₹ 2 crore

If proved guilty, manufacturers may have to pay compensation of up to ₹ 2 crore for unauthorized use of copyright music. This can be a major economic shock for the production house.

Meanwhile, despite this controversy, Bigg Boss 19 is dominating the 19 TRP chart. The ongoing quarrels, drama and popularity of contestants have tied fans, making this season one of the most talked about season in recent years.
