The investigation found that the pictures went viral from Ashiana and Gomtinagar in Lucknow were not real, but were edited. The forest police detained a young man and questioned. The young man admitted that he had edited the picture and put it in a group. After this, the forest department arrested two people and handed over to the police. A tahrir of this case has also been registered in Ashiana police station.

Akhilesh Yadav raised questions

Samajwadi Party President and MP Akhilesh Yadav also targeted the government on the news of leopard appearance. Posting a picture of the leopard on X, he wrote, "Now you have come to the capital… what did the government come to know?" His post became increasingly viral on social media.

In fact, pictures of leopard went viral on social media from the Vinay Khand of Gomtinagar in Lucknow and the interest section of Ashiana. After this, the local people also claimed to see the leopard, which caused the atmosphere further heated.
