Bihar News: The flood crisis in Munger district of Bihar is still not over. People of Krishna Nagar village located in Teliyadih Panchayat of Haveli Kharagpur block have been surrounded by water for the last three months. Constant water logging has made the village a ‘hyacinth’.
The families of the village who have a pucca two -storey houses have made their roofs a refuge. At the same time, the people of raw or small household have to cut the day by hanging polythene on the streets under compulsion. People of this village with a population of about 500 are facing huge difficulties.
The villagers have accused the government of negligence. He says that only 7000 rupees and eight days of food were given in the name of help. He also does not get it many times without taking bribe. People say that if the right development works were done in the area, then today they would not have to live life like this.
This situation is not limited to Krishna Nagar village only. Flood water has also been filled in many panchayats of Diara area, Bariyarpur and Jamalpur blocks of Munger Sadar block. Here more than 5000 families leave their homes and take shelter in high and safe places.
Due to being on the roads for three months, people have to face dust and dirt. This has increased the risk of diseases. Many cattle have also become victims of road accidents. Villagers say that when Durga Puja is celebrated in the whole country, then they are facing the plight of the houses immersed in water.
