SEVENTEEN leader S.Coups asks fans not to visit his brother’s cafe
Recently, on a popular fan forum website where idols and fans can directly talk and chat with one another, the leader of SEVENTEEN made a stern remark regarding his brother’s cafe. When he found out that fans have been showing up to the place in order to support him, he urged them not to do that and to avoid the place until and unless they actually like the food there.
His statement read, “’ve been seeing a lot of café videos. I’m not associated with that business and I would appreciate it if you do not support them. Please let as many Carats know as possible…! I know that a lot of Carats have followed and are visiting the café, so…”
Idol further provides clarification about the matter
After he posted the comment, fans and netizens were left confused as to why the rapper would be requesting something like this. As they posed their questions on the same fan forum, S.Coups gave a candid and detailed explanation as to why he has been requesting his fans to not visit the cafe.
His statement read, “There’s a lot of good things happening and the unit promotion is coming up, so I’ve been holding this in since I don’t want to say bad things. But there have been problems with my hyung. If Carats are visiting the café because they like it, then I don’t get to say much about that. But if you’re going for me or supporting the business because of me, I do not like that at all. Please, if you know any other Carats, too, let them know as well!”
Fan reactions
After his post went viral, many people commented and started a debate online about the matter. While some happily obliged and accepted his request, many others raised their questions about the matter.
One person commented, “Who cares if the two of them get along or not..? No one’s blaming S.Coups. Just accept it and move on,” while another shared, “Basically the point is ‘don’t give it business,’ but people focusing on whether he has issues with his brother is kind of weird.”
