CBSE 10th and 12th Private Students Registration: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the registration process for private students of classes 10th and 12th today, September 30, 2025. However, students who have not yet applied can fill out the form with a late fee until October 11, 2025.

The registration process began on September 9th, and students can apply online by visiting the CBSE's official website, www.cbse.nic.in.

This much fee will have to be deposited:
If someone wishes to appear for a single subject, they will have to pay ₹320. Additional subjects will also require ₹320 per subject. For practical fees, 12th-grade students will have to pay ₹160 per practical. Private students who could not apply by September 30th will be able to apply with a late fee from October 3rd to October 11th. Students will have to pay an additional ₹2,000 as a late fee.

The exam center selected during online registration will be allocated accordingly.

Which students will be eligible?
CBSE has clarified that the application form and fee payment must be submitted online. Students will not be able to apply after the deadline. Students who failed the board exams in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 can apply and appear for the 2026 exam.

Main and Supplementary Exams 2024-25: Students who received compartment marks in the main and supplementary exams can also apply. Students who failed in 2024-25 or were categorized as having required repeat exams can also apply.

Examinations are held alongside regular students.
Exams for private students are conducted alongside regular students. In schools that have tie-ups with the CBSE, private students also appear for the same exams as regular students in grades 10 and 12.
