New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will start the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) and the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2026 registration process today, October 1. Candidates can fill out the UCEED, CEED 2026 application form through the official websites at uceed.iitb.ac.in and ceed.iitb.ac.in respectively. The last date to register for UCEED, CEED is October 31, 2025.

While applying candidates need to upload the necessary documents in the specified format and make payment of the CEED, UCEED application fee.

The official notice reads, ‘Registration portal will be available from October 01, 2025, 12:00 AM onwards.’

If any candidate miss the application last date, then one can apply by paying a late fee of Rs 500 till November 18, 2025.

CEED, UCEED exam date

The UCEED, CEED 2026 is national level entrance exam scheduled to be held on January 18 in a single shift from 9 AM to 12 noon. The exams conducted by IIT Bombay assess the candidates’ design aptitude. UCEED is conducted to shortlist candidates for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at IITs and other participating institutes. The CEED exam is held for Master of Design (MDes) and Doctor of Philosaphy (PhD) programmes.

The UCEED and CEED score are accepted by several participating institutes which include IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, IIITDM Jabalpur and IIT Indore.

The steps detailed below can be followed to apply for UCEED, CEED 2026 exams-

  • Visit the respective official websites
  • Complete the registration with valid details and an email ID.
  • Fill the application form, upload the required documents and make payment of the application fee.
  • Once done, review the application.
  • Download the confirmation page and take a printout of it for records.
