Idli Kadai box office collection day 1:
According to the website Sacnilk, Idli Kadai collected Rs 10.50 crore on its opening day. The numbers are likely to go higher due to the Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti holidays and the upcoming first weekend.
Earlier, while speaking to NDTV, Nithya talked about her experience of working with Dhanush again. He shared, "It's the same for me. He is a very familiar person. He is my friend. I think we are all people who don't stick to one role. We are very collaborative. We are people with multiple talents. We always contribute to everything. It's just a natural progression. I didn't see any separate versions of him but filming was fun."
Meanwhile, Parthibhan penned a heartfelt note about 'Idli Kadai' and praised Dhanush. He wrote, "Idli Kadai, which talks about the concept of ahimsai (non-violence), is a great film. The film can be awarded a Mahatma Award. By depicting violence, a film can earn 1000s of crores at the box office. But this is your crown. I will need a few days to talk about the greatness of each scene. Like your intentions, the film too, is great. I see the chance I got, to play a part in this film, as a great honour."
"I am happy to have played a role, which got a lot of applause, in Idly Kadai. In current times, even Mahatma Gandhi will be reluctant to make a film which has the message, 'Ahimsai Vellum' (Non-violence will win). The reason being that the colour of the box office is of blood." He adds, "Like telling a flower great things about its roots, it is commendable that the film reinforces the identity that the parents, ancestors, the kula dheivam (ancestral deity), hold. My eyes welled up at certain instances. My friend, Ilavarasu, shone as the character himself. GV (Prakash Kumar), has served a music that is as fresh as vapours emanating from a piping hot Idli. Dhanush should be celebrated," he added.
