Season 9 of Love Is Blind has finally returned to Netflix as the first six episodes have dropped - but fans were not expecting two sudden exits.

Once more, a group of singles have entered the pods in the hopes of findingtheir future partner, all without setting eyes on one another. The couples formed do not meet face to face until they take the plunge and become engaged.

And already, series 9 has dropped today (October 1) on Netflix, bringing plenty of drama and jaw-dropping moments. And for one couple, things have not gone to plan after one star is seemingly "ghosted".

Patrick was hoping to enjoy another date with his strongest connection Anna, only to find she was not there. Blake also appeared to have left the show unexpectedly, leaving Megan W in the lurch.

Speaking to Netflix's Tudum, 28-year-old Anna has opened up about why she decided to leave the show. Admitting she had been forming her connections and felt "vulnerable", the star said she soon started to think about her life back home.

She said: "These are very sensitive topics for me. It’s not that I’m just sharing it with whoever I’m dating or the other women — this is going to be broadcast for people."

She added: "With my parents being immigrants and having a language barrier, I’ve always naturally been their helper. When I told them, ‘Hey, Mom and Dad, I’m going on this show, they’re going to take my phone, they were like, ‘Are you being kidnapped?’"

Despite explaining why she couldn’t communicate with them during the experiment, Anna continued to worry for her parents as she decided to leave, feeling "guilty" for taking up one of the spots.

Admitting she was a "wreck", Anna continued: "My eyes were almost swollen shut from crying. I was embarrassed."

Having declined the chance to go on another date with Patrick to explain her situation, Anna decided it was best for her to leave straight away. She later admitted she felt she had not formed a connection strong enough to lead to a marriage and her time on the show came to an end.

Many fans took to social media to raise their concerns as one person wrote on X: "Anna? Why did she leave ah ah (broken heart)."

Another commented on Reddit: "To be honest, it broke my heart when Anna left. It was hard for me to continue watching. Lol."

Love Is Blind star Blake, 34, also decided to leave the experiment after realising it was not going to work for him. He told Tudum: "Sometimes I’m practical to a fault, and as the days ticked on, I just realized that a proposal wasn’t in the cards for me."
