Housework is not fun at the best of times, especially without the right equipment - and most shoppers won’t want to spend a fortune on new products. However, right now, there’s a deal at Wowcher which saves shoppers nearly 50%.

The Dyson V6 Cordless Handstick Vacuum, available on Wowcher, is currently being sold for £99. The price has been slashed from £189.95, saving shoppers a whopping 48% due to its refurbished state.

With its V6 digital motor, the hoover lifts dust, debris and pet hair fast, the brand says. There’s also a pet tool included to remove any stubborn hair from carpets and furniture.

If looking for alternatives, Lakeland has a newLightweight 2-in-1 Cordless Vacuum, currently available for £99.99. The vacuum has two speed settings and includes a small brush, crevice nozzle and charging base.

There is another more expensive option available from Shark for £199.99, reduced from £249.99. ThePowerPro Cordless Stick Vacuum’s technology senses the floor type and adjusts brush-roll speed and suction for optimised cleaning.

On the Amazon listing of the same product, reviewers have praised the Dyson V6 Cordless Handstick Vacuum, giving it a 3.7-star rating out of five. One even said the product has ‘transformed (their) life’.

They wrote: “What can I say? Totally amazing! This has transformed my life when it comes to housework. I had two other conventional hoovers of a well-known brand, and I thought my floors were clean.

"I was shocked when I used this for the first time as the dog hair, dust and general dirt that came out of my carpets was unbelievable.”

Another said: “I will begin by saying how much I love my new Dyson, it is brilliant on a practical level. It is perfect for me as I suffer from arthritis, and this has changed my way of hoovering, and it is no longer a chore to do.”

Someone else even said that vacuuming has become an enjoyable activity for them using this product. They wrote on Amazon: “I'm now addicted to hoovering... whenever I see anything on the floor it's hoovered up quicker than I could have even unwound the cable and plugged in my old hoover. I wish I had bought it ages ago…”

Others have criticised the battery life, saying: “Great, but the battery doesn't seem to last 20 mins.” While another wrote: “The charge does not last long in my opinion.”
