The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15 -member team for the tour of Australia. Shubman Gill has been made the captain of the Indian team and Shreyas Iyer has been made the vice-captain. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will return to the three -match ODI series. Both of them played their last match against New Zealand in the final of the Champions Trophy on 9 March this year. India will play three ODIs and five T20 matches during their Australia tour. The first match will be played in Perth on October 19, the second and third matches will be played in Adelaide and Sydney on 23 and 25 October respectively.
