New Delhi: The Indian Embassy in Rome said on Monday (October 6) that four Indian citizens died in a road accident in the southern Italy city of Matera. It is being told that the deceased was riding in a car along with six other people, when the car collided with a truck, killing four people on the spot and six others were seriously injured. According to the news, the accident occurred last Saturday in the Scanzano Jonono area when a seven-seater car carrying 10 people collided with a truck. It is being told that the victims were traveling along with six other people in the seven-seater renolt Senic car. His car collided with a truck in the Scanzano Jinnico Municipality area of Matera in Agri Valley on Saturday. Four Indian citizens died on the spot in the accident, while others were seriously injured and were admitted to the hospital. The Indian Embassy expressed grief over the accident. The Indian Embassy shared a post on social media, stating, “The Indian Embassy expresses his deep condolences on the tragic death of four Indian citizens in a road accident in Matera, South Italy.” Six people injured in the accident are admitted to the hospital. The ANSA reported that the five injured have been transferred to a hospital in Policoro (Matera), while the seriously injured sixth person has been transferred to San Carlo Hospital in Potenza, where he is undergoing treatment.
