Madhya Pradesh Ration Card Application Process: The Madhya Pradesh government has initiated the process for issuing new ration cards. Millions of families will directly benefit from this. Learn who can apply.

The ration card is one of the most important documents in the country. It allows you to avail of various government schemes and services. Now, the process of issuing new ration cards has begun again in Madhya Pradesh. This work has resumed after a year.

People in Madhya Pradesh who previously applied to add their names to ration cards are now being included in the eligibility list. Approximately 800,000 people have been added, and 700,000 more can be added.

According to the Food and Civil Supplies Department, the central government has allocated a ration quota of 54.6 million people to Madhya Pradesh. Under this, approximately 2.91 lakh metric tons of food grains are distributed every month. New names were not being added until now due to the quota being exhausted. But now, after a survey, the path has been cleared.

During the survey, it was revealed that the names of approximately 1.5 million people who had either left the state or died were still on the list. Since January, all such names have been removed. This cleanup has now created space for new eligible families, and new cards are being issued.

Currently, the application and verification process is progressing rapidly in the state. If you live in Madhya Pradesh and haven't yet obtained a ration card, you can now apply for one.

The e-KYC process for applicants for new ration cards is ongoing. Those who complete this process are being issued eligibility slips. E-KYC is verifying both eligible and ineligible individuals, ensuring only genuine beneficiaries are included in the scheme.

Applying for new ration cards has become completely online. People living below the poverty line can apply at any Public Service Center with their documents. After verification, eligible families will be issued new ration cards so they can benefit from the government's grain distribution scheme.
