Three areas of cyclonic winds are active in Northeast India, one in the northeastern states, the second on the coast of Odisha and the third in the south-eastern Arabian Sea. The reasons for this are:-
Possibility of heavy rain in northeastern states
Light rain in southern districts of Odisha
Light to moderate rain in many parts of Andhra Pradesh
Heavy rainfall in some areas of South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu
Light to moderate rain likely in Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands
The temperature has started falling in Delhi-NCR and it is likely to increase further till Diwali. Despite the strong sunlight during the day, there is no respite from the coldness of the winds. According to experts, this time the winter may last longer and may continue its effect till March.
