Mumbai Smriti Irani has returned to TV after 2 years since Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. His Tulsi (basil) character in the show is getting love like before. Smriti married businessman Zubin Irani in 2001. Both have always supported each other. Now Smriti told what the two talked about before marriage and how they got married in the parking lot.
What did you talk about before marriage?
Smriti said, Zubin is a person whom I have known for years. So he asked me what was the problem? I said I have to work. He said I have no problem with your work. So I looked at him and said oh so will you give me permission now? He said, hey man, just work and do whatever you have to do.

wedding in the parking lot
Smriti further said that Zubin had already cleared that his priority is his daughter from his previous marriage. I said ok. I have to work. He said OK. We then got married in the parking lot of my mother’s building. That was also quite strange because I was still working. He said, will you be able to come to the wedding? I said ok ok.

Smriti then told that both of them had made some savings and hence the next day both of them had lunch at Taj Hotel. The next day both of them worked together again. Zubin had to leave for Sydney, while Smriti had to shoot him. Smriti said that there was no big romance between the two. Relationships last longer when you don’t have any fairy tale stupid ideas.
