Team India opener KL Rahul experienced a painful moment on Day 4 of the second Test against West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Rahul was hit in the groin by a vicious delivery from West Indies' right-arm pacer Jayden Seales during the third over of the innings.
The Karnataka-born batter groaned aloud and stooped on his hunches, displaying visible discomfort. The team physio immediately rushed to him.

Rahul was given the go-ahead to keep playing despite being injured and stayed unbeaten at 25 runs at stumps as India moved to 63/1 in their pursuit of 121 runs. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rahul's opening partner, was bowled early in the second over after hitting two boundaries off the opening over bowled by Seales. He got out caught at long-on off left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican, providing an early opening for West Indies.

India in Control After Dominant Batting Display
KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan played firmly after Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for 8, gradually adding to the innings. Both the batters seemed to keep control while keeping the runs trickling in. India now needs 58 more runs on Day 5 to win the series with a 2-0 margin.
Earlier during the match, India had achieved a first-innings lead of 270 runs. The West Indies countered gallantly with the help of centuries from Shai Hope (103) and John Campbell (115). Against all this resistance, including crucial contributions from the lower-order, India is still very much in control and is likely to wrap up the win comfortably in the ongoing session.
Rahul's capacity to play on through the injury demonstrates his grit and will be important as India seeks to continue dominating the series. The West Indies, while being outplayed in Ahmedabad, can find positives in the resilience exhibited by their top-order batters in this Test.
