His announcement comes just a day after Brian reflected on a devastating loss and paid an emotional tribute to his late friend on social media.
The 78-year-old paid tribute to Phil Webb, his friend and driver, whom he had known for decades. It was the "saddest day of Brian's life" when Phil died suddenly of a heart attack in 2023.
Two years on from that day, Brian issued another statement, which read: "In my thoughts today, the unforgettable Phil Webb - seen here with me, proudly looking after me as he always did, at my knighthood ceremony at Buckingham Palace. He was suddenly taken from this world two years ago, way, way too soon.
"He was the kindest man I ever met, to ever man, woman and child, no matter what their colour or creed, and a passionate champion of animals, all of which makes him, to me, one of the greats. We all miss ya Phil, too much. RIP."
