WHIB member Inhong has officially announced his departure from the group. The idol shared a heartfelt note online about his decision and thanked fans for all the support that they have provided him and the group since their debut.
Inhong leaves WHIB after 2 years
As per Weverse, on October 16, WHIB ’s management agency issued an official statement about the group’s future. They announced that one of the members, Inhong , has planned to leave the group after debuting only two years ago. They shared that the decision was it made lightheartedly, and was done after careful and considerate discussion with the artist.
They revealed that Inhong himself came forward with his desire to leave the group and stop his career in the entertainment industry. While respecting his wishes to depart from the group, they also added, “Moving forward, WHIB will continue activities as a seven-member group. We sincerely apologize to An,D who have been patiently waiting for WHIB’s comeback for the sudden announcement, and we ask for your warm encouragement and continued support — both for the remaining members and for Inhong as he begins a new chapter.”
New career path speculations online
Soon after the idol announced his departure from the K-pop boy group , many fans and k-netizens started speculating about whether he may be planning a completely new career path for himself. Many shared instances of spotting at an aviation academy, specifically made for training flight attendants.
There were a lot of speculations online, with many people pointing out that the option seems to be a better choice for the singer, as compared to the hectic life of an idol. One person’s comment read, “Honestly, if you think you can’t make it in the industry, you should look into another path. TBH , I don’t think he’d hit it big even if he went on another survival show.,” while another shared, “Huh? Did no one know? This actually already popped up in one of the GCs, but the OP removed it, thinking it might become an issue..”
As of right now, no official confirmation has been shared by either the idol nor his management agency.
