Maharashtra School : An important update is coming for parents as well as teachers for school students in the state. An important decision has been taken by the Education Department for students parents and teachers.
School Education and Sports Department of Maharashtra State Government has issued more important GR. Under this, the Pre-Higher Secondary Scholarship Examination will now be conducted for Class IV instead of Class V and the Pre-Secondary Scholarship Examination will be conducted for Class VII instead of Class VIII.
Actually, earlier the scholarship exam was conducted only for class IV and VII. The scholarship examination is being conducted since 1954 55. This scheme has been started in line with the idea that students should enjoy learning and the impact of this scheme has been very wide.
The scholarship exam has proved to be very beneficial for the students. Initially, the scholarship examination was conducted for classes IV and VII. But in the interim, the format of the scholarship examination was changed by the school education department of the state government.
The exam was introduced for class V and VIII but the decision saw little negative impact. From 2016 17 it has been decided to conduct the scholarship examination for class V and VIII by the school education department of the state government.
But this decision was made and since then the number of students appearing for these exams began to decrease and hence there were demands that this decision should be reversed. As before, the demand that the scholarship examination should be conducted for class 4th and 7th started coming from various educational organizations, teachers as well as parents.
In line with this, the education department of the state government had recently indicated that the scholarship examination would be conducted once again for classes IV and VII. Education Minister Dada Bhuse himself had given the same testimony.
Meanwhile, according to this, an official government decision has been issued today by the education department of the state government. The special thing is that this year, this scholarship exam will be conducted for classes V and VIII along with IV and VII. But this is only going to be a one-time thing.
Of course, this year the students of fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth classes will be able to give the scholarship exam. From the next academic year, the scholarship exam will be conducted only for classes IV and VII.
