Nissan Motor India has announced the extension of the government approved CNG retrofit program for its popular compact SUV, the New Nissan Magneto BR-10 Easy-Shift (AMT). With this initiative, customers will now have access to a factory-approved, high-quality and more efficient CNG solution.

The retrofit program launched earlier this year for the manual transmission (BR-10 MT) version received a very enthusiastic response from customers. Therefore, the company has also started this program in Easy-Shift (AMT) mode. This decision symbolizes Nissan’s commitment to customer-centric, affordable and sustainable mobility solutions.

A new fuel lead design is introduced in this new retrofit. Now the CNG filling valve is fitted in the existing fuel filler cap instead of the engine-compartment, making fueling more convenient, faster and safer. This further improves the daily experience of users.

The CNG retrofitted New Nissan Magnite is available with a 3-year or 1 lakh km warranty, allowing customers to experience the financial savings of CNG along with Nissan’s reliable performance.

The company has announced the MRP of the CNG retrofit kit at ₹71,999 for the benefit of customers, the price has been maintained even after the GST rate has been reduced from 28% to 18%. This price is applicable from 22nd September 2025 at all authorized Nissan CNG retrofitting centers in India.

Commenting on the announcement, Saurabh Vats, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, “We are extremely pleased to extend the retrofit program to the new Nissan Magnite BR-10 Easy-Shift (AMT). This initiative is another milestone in our CNG journey, bringing together Nissan’s engineering excellence with great convenience at an affordable price.”

This is the power of gold! From 2015 to 2025, 1 Kg of gold will cost more than one luxury car.

Availability

Nissan’s CNG retrofit program is now available in 13 states in India, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu. This option is only available for the New Nissan Magnite, with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which comes in both manual and AMT transmissions.

In terms of safety, the New Nissan Magnite is considered one of the safest B-SUVs in India with 6 airbags. The car has received a 5-star rating from GNCAP. Also, the company has introduced a 10-year extended warranty plan to give more confidence to customers.

Recently Nissan also launched the “Kuro Edition”, which features a black theme, refined interior and Japanese-inspired design. All these innovations further cement the New Nissan Magnite’s position as India’s most attractive, value-rich and sustainable compact SUV.
